What does the legislation say about the Food trailer?
Your trailer must be approved to European standards, otherwise it will not be allowed to run (no registration card). There is no need to switch your trailer to VASP (specific self-propelled vehicle), nor does it require you to pass the technical inspection. These provisions apply only to motorized vehicles such as food trucks.
A snack trailer is used for the preparation and sale of food products. As such, each trailer must comply with hygiene rules as well as food safety standards such as a restaurant (Regulation 852/2004 of 29 April 2004 and adopted on 21 December 2009). The magazine trailer must also comply with the safety rules applicable to establishments receiving the public.

Food trailers
Care must be taken to have the right permit to your kitchen trailer. This shall be used on the TAP of the trailer and on the vehicle that is towed:
– sufficient if the TAP of the trailer is less than 750 kg.
– trailer and the tugboat vehicle to less than 3,500 kg, even if the PTAC of the trailer is greater than 750 kg.
– in the trailer and the tugboat is greater than 3,500 kg but less than 4,250 kg. In this respect, the trailer must not have a greater than 3,500 kg.
– the trailer and the tug vehicle is greater than 4,250 kg. As in the previous point, however, the trailer shall not have a PTAC greater than 3,500 kg.
